SvetLada started in Belgium with already broken shockabsorbers. Since we didn't had time on our side we drove 3000 km with those broken rear shockabsorbers. Yes that was quite tricky but it would be cheaper to fix that in Kiev then in Belgium.
After Ukraine it's time to enter Russia. In 2019 Crimea was already "annexed" by Russia and in east Ukraïne a "civil war" was already ongoing for a year. So we took the border crossing near the east part of the direction Kursk. The Russian side of the border was more like a lottery to cross. It took us way to many hours to finally win the lottery.
In Russia the roads were "better" and we could finally with a fixed car conquer some lost time. Russia is a vast country with some amazing scenes.
Our next goal was Toljatti, the city were SvetLada was built in 1982. Aparently they didn't only made crappy cars over there.
