13/06/2026 we went for anonther adventure covering all the steepest and adventurous roads in Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and Wales. This in an 5500 km and 13 day roadtrip with shitboxes. This is a summary of this amazing trip:
13/06/2026 we assembled in Belgium for a short trip to Rotterdam where we needed to catch the overnight ferry to Hull.
After we put our racestickers on the shitboxes we left with loads of time ahead. Unless after 5 km of driving the Moskvitch decided to overheat and spraying her fluids all over a parking lot.
The other teams drove further to catch the ferry while team Svetlada tried to revive the Moskvitch. With 5 minutes to spare they left the Moskvitch behind and raced to the check-in of the ferry. The check-in was about to close but SvetLada managed to get on board as the last car on the ferry.
The Moskvitch was towed by friends to a garage where whe was patched together until midnight. They drove all the way to Calais for the next possible ferry which they could take at 5:00 in the morning.
In the morning of 14/06/2026 the teams who made teh ferry the day before landed in Hull. Their 268 km task was to drive all the steepest roads of northern England including Hardknott pass.
The Lada needed to be pushed by 8 people into a passing lane, got revived there and in the end all the teams arrived at the campsite.
Yes, including the Moskvitch, they drove all the way from Dover to the campsite in northern England reunited with the pack.
15/06/2026, time to drive to Scotland along the English Scottisch borderlands. The start of amazing scenery while driving northbound is a sign for what would come.
16/06/2026, it's said that driving around Scotland from south to north and back would take you a week. Well we are trying to do this in 3 days with shitboxes and that while driving even more smaller roads than the actual NC 500 because that's what we do. Oh boy, best choice ever! You'll never see what we encountered driving main roads.
17/06/2026, finding the steepest road in Scotland was Applecross pass already on our way southbound in Scotland. And probabaly you are wondering what's going on with the Moskvitch. For some kind of reason it kept driving filling it up with coolant every 100 km.
18/06/2026, you already got the point already. We make a video everyday, editing it while driving so that we have movie night every evening. In this episode we drove early in the morning around 6:30 to catch the ferry in Cairnryan. We arrived in Northern Ireland around 15:00 conquering the coast and national parks on their steepest roads. Just because we can.
19/06/2026, time to go to Ireland. We managed to drive in a rally caravan and drove to Keel beach where we had a little swim. On the road somebody left there phone at a touristic location. But the story how he got his phone back if for the next day.
20/06/2026, get your phone back driving back 1 hour and 30 minutes and then try to catch up with the pack on the longest stage of this event. The scenery around the West Atlantic Way, the longest Atlantic coast road made up for this long drive. Roll it southbound!
21/06/2026, we had our own Top Gear moment. Doing a dragrace on the beach with shitboxes.
Driving along the gap of Dunloe through beautiful national parks. We ended up at the most scenic campsite. On a mountain in the middle of nowhere with epic views.
22/06/2026, in case you hadn't noticed it, we made a song for each day while driving which can you relisten on spotify. In this episode we drove to the next ferry from Dublin to Wales. Instead of driving the Highway, we choose national park roads again.
23/06/2026 Wales from north to south. And we are on a mission, not only conquering all the backroads through this amazing country but something to do with sheep.
24/06/2026 last full day in the UK before going home. Time to visit Clarckson's farm. Out of all the farmshops in the UK, which are plenty, this is the busiest and defenitly not the cheapest.
Well this was a short summary of 13 days of adventure, for the deep and all the stories behind this trip, join a next one and you'll see what's it is when you're driving one.
