Still in Mongolia , we were e few days away from the finish. But we still needed to cross the Gobi desert and some other parts in Mongolia. First of all if you drive on asphalt, beware of the potholes.
The Gobi desert should be driven by camel or horses not by Lada. You could try but in the end you fail. Nevertheless we tried.
We did this rally for ourselves but also for charity. We organised a lot of charity events before our MongolRally and during our followers were able to donate for the SOS cildren's village in Darkhan.. We visited the village and the kids were expecting us, we were happy the Lada made it. That moment in the village you forget about your adventure and hope those kids will have the opportunity to do stupid adventures ass well.
After Darkhan we should have a straight run to the finish in Ulan Ude Russia. Well that didn't happen.
While Seppe was getting an official finish. Bram decided to drive solo to Belgium in 6 days. He rented a Russian driver who couldn't speak English an together they drove to Moscow. From Moscow Bram drove solo to Europe were a friend joined him and in the end drove in total 6 day and 13 hours back to Belgium in a non stop 10 000 km run.
There isn't much footage of the non stop driving to Belgium. But there is some. Bram needed to get out of Russia since his Visa was about to expire. He made it just in time and then went straight to Belgium for some much needed rest.
